Internationally reputed chemists like Prof. P. B.Ganguly, Prof. Bawa Kartar Singh, Prof. S.K.Guha, Prof. R.C. Ray, Prof. P.C. Dutta, Prof. P.C. Sinha, Prof. S. P. Ghosh, Prof. Balbhadra Prasad, F.N.A., Prof. B.P.Gyani, Prof. D.N.Ghosh, Prof. J.N. Chatterjee, F.N.A. and others have served the Department of Chemistry and have made valuable contributions to the field of modern research activity. Presently the Department has maintained the tempo of its glory in research activities. The Department has more than thousand research papers in Indian and International Journals to its credit. It also caters to the need of other Research Centres and Universities of the State.
